Vinita Kinra was born in Milton (Ontario) Canada on June 2, 1975. She moved to India with her family when she was a little over 2 years old and was raised in Jaipur, where she attended Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ Public School (M.G.D).
Vinita was an outstanding student at academics, and received an award in grade 12 by Honorable Shankar Dayal Sharma, the President of India in 1993.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Rajasthan University in 1996 and consistently placed First in English and Psychology university exams.
Vinita’s passion for languages saw her enroll in French at the Department of Modern European Languages of Rajasthan University, where she secured her Post Diploma in French with “Honors” (1996-1999).
During these three years, she simultaneously completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations from Rajendra Prasad Institute of Communications and Management, securing “First Class”; and Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management from Rajasthan University.
In 1999, Vinita cleared the All India selection for entrance in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, to pursue her Master’s in French degree with specialization in Translation and Interpretation.
Vinita excelled in the M.A. French program at JNU and was awarded scholarship to teach English in France at Grenoble’s oldest and most reputed High School, Lycée International Stendhal in 2001. Subsequently, she accepted offers to teach English at French universities and was an English lecturer at Université Stendhal for the academic year 2002-2003, and at Université d’Orléans from 2003-2004.
She simultaneously trained adults in conversational English at Centre Universitaire d’Education et de Formation des Adultes (CUEFA) in Grenoble, France.
Vinita embraced continuous learning during her stay in France and successfully completed Diploma in Business French from Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Paris in 2002 with “Mention Très Bien” (Excellent).
She has also taught French to Post Diploma students at the Department of Modern European Languages, University of Rajasthan.
Vinita returned to Canada in 2004 and her collection of short stories, Pavitra in Paris, was published in 2013. Her book has garnered ace reviews from politicians, authors, media and readers worldwide.
Vinita is widely appreciated for her original poems and thought-provoking quotations by thousands of loyal followers on her Facebook fan page. Several of her quotations have been used by business houses internationally for their strong messages.
Vinita is also a Speaker with Passages Canada and her motivational speeches have attracted wide media attention, including CBC. She lives in Toronto with her husband, Pankaj, and their daughter, Veda.
